Fumiaki Miura, (Japan) Violin
 

Born in Tokyo into a musical family, Fumiaki Miura began studying the violin at the age of 3. He has won many prizes and awards and recently won the 1st prize, as well as the Music Critics Prize, and the Audience Prize at the Hannover International Violin Competition, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the competition. He has performed with many orchestras including the NDR Symphony Orchestra, Polish Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic, Osaka Philharmonic, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, and Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra. In April 2009, he was awarded a scholarship to study at the Toho Gakuen School of Music, in Japan. Since October 2009, he is a student of Pavel Vernikov in the Vienna Conservatory.
